Referring Patients or Telephone Consultations

Our Center and Staff Doctors are available as a resource for other professionals in the community. We are prepared to assist in any way that may be of service to you.

General Procedures

When referring patients to our Center for special services/testing, it is important for you to provide us with all pertinent patient data and ocular findings. Be as specific as possible with regards to the services and special testing requested.

Fax any paperwork or reports to 323.235.6203 or mail this information to us in sufficient time to arrive prior to the patient's appointment. Unfortunately if the needed information is not received prior to the patient visit, the patient may have to be rescheduled and services delayed.

Upon completion of the requested services, we will promptly send the patient back to the referring doctor for continuation of care. A written summary report of our findings will be sent to the referring doctor as well.

Glaucoma Collaboration

Please forward the Treatment Plan and associated forms (request for special testing, etc.) to OCLA. Upon completion of initial consultation with our in-house ophthalmologist and any special testing that you may request, the patient will be returned to you for continuation of the management of his/her glaucoma condition.

Laser Procedures and Fluorescein Angiography

Our Center is equipped to perform a variety of procedures using the YAG, SLT, ARGON Lasers and Fluorescein Angiography. All procedures are performed by Board Certified and Fellowship trained ophthalmologists. We will be happy to assist your patients with such procedures as iridotomy/iridectomy, trabeculoplasty, capsulotomy, focal and pan retinal photocoagulation, and retinopexy. Upon completion of the procedures the patient will be sent back to you for all further care.
